LE CON OF DRAGONS.

So this report will be shorter than all my other D*C reports most likely. The con was effing packed, esp. on Saturday, and I didn't do much in the way of panels and all that jazz. Plus, we brought nine costumes so a lot of it was either chilling in the room getting ready/being lazy and watching D*C TV or being dorks and taking pictures of the crap we put work into, haha~ XD I didn't even make it into the Dealer's Hall (expect for two seconds to get water) or the Exhibitor's Halls (except for a quick walk around one of them to help Ashley look for something). I went in the art show for a couple minutes to look at Erin's table. Besides those, I didn't use my badge for anything except one Star Wars panel. WHOOPS. Well, okay, and to get into the other hotels later in the evening since you needed your badge to do that - BUT YEAH~ ON WITH IT. :3

LOOK AT THAT LACK OF BADGE LINE, HOLY CRAP.

Wednesday was a whole lot of flailing around. I got home around 3:30 from work and started packing. I still had homework to finish that would be due while I was gone too (I got more after I left and had to do it at Dragon*Con, but that's a different story, haha~) -- so by the time I got all that shit done and Nate got over and he packed the car up while I finished my homework... it was around 6:40. We ran to Shopper's really quick and picked up some food and drinks and then made our way to Erin's house, where the caravan (Erin, Jeremy, Ronnie and Alex in Erin's car -- Beth, Roger and Denis in Beth's car and then me and Nate in my car at the end XD) set off!

We ended up getting stuck in traffic at Richmond because there was an accident that closed down 95 south. So we had to caravan through Richmond. That was... a little creepy since some of the traffic lights were just out and stuff. Also, there was fried chicken at every single restaurant we passed. And a billboard for "URBAN ADULT ENTERTAINMENT" called like... Daddy Rabbits or something. I texted Ronnie like WHAT THE HELL IS THAT and he just responds with "Urban Adult Entertainment"~

There is a photo of a street in Richmond I took while we were waiting at a red light.

We stopped somewhere in the expanse of North Carolina for the night - no wait, not just anywhere. It was a little town called MEBANE! And I remember it cause it had a Sonic. And you know how I feel about Sonic. I cheat on Nate with Sonic since we don't have any around us. He also cheats on me with Sonic. In fact, when we woke up in the morning and the caravan was packing up, Nate and I drove over to the Sonic and had A FRICKIN' THREEWAY WITH THE SONIC.

(And by that, I mean we got some cherry/cranberry limeades and then met the caravan back at the hotel and left.)

But yeah, the Holiday Inn Express we stayed at was pleasant like they always are. Nate and I stayed in a room with the lovely Beth and Roger and we all pondered why there was a crib in our room. Dat crib. :x?

We hit a bit of traffic coming into Atlanta, but nothing too out of the ordinary. There were a billion sports games going on there that night, so plus rush hour there was that too. BUT WE MADE IT TO THE HOTEL. AND WE MADE IT TO SARA~ <3 She came outside and watched up pull our 943092385949584 bags of shit out of the car, laughing at us all the way. Then we checked into the Hilton! Well, we checked in after waiting a few minutes and eating a delicious Lucky Charm filled Rice Krispie treat that a very nice Hilton employee was handing out in line. When we got to the front, they told us the only double room they had available at that moment was a smoking room. I asked her if it smelled, she said it shouldn't. The floor might but the room shouldn't. I said that was cool and were off to our room! THE NUMBER ON OUR ROOM WAS AMAZING. BUT I WILL GET TO THAT IN A LATER RECAP. Everyone who came to our room was like WHAT THE FUCK IS WITH YOUR NUMBER? It fit us though - we have photos of it fitting from Sunday. XD

The room didn't smell (the floor did) and that was all we needed. We threw our stuff around the room and instantly turned on Dragon*Con tv. That television did not get turned off once all weekend. It was on D*C TV all day and all night and helped us sleep. It was our crack.

Before the mess! But already with a billion bags, lol.

Ashley, John and Kevin showed up a few minutes later and we all geeked out, settled into rooms and then were off to get our badges.

I am so, so stunned, dare I say it, at the badge line this year. Last year we waited for four hours to get our badge. This year they got a new system with barcodes and all that jazz. We did not stop once. We went through all the twisty turny line without stopping and went right up to counters where there was NO LINE. We got our badge within seconds, then we left the giant room and Sara, Nate, Ashley and I looked at each other like, "Oh my god, it's still early, what do we do now?!"

We chilled and then headed down to meet a bunch of awesome people for dinner. There were so many people there that we had to sit at our own table in the corner, lol. Our table was the TIME OUT table. Emily and Maggie came over to join us while we ate our food (MOE'S, NATURALLY IF IT'S THE THURSDAY NIGHT BEFORE D*C OKAY XD)--

Nate and Ashley, Emily and Maggie, John and Sara (love this expression) and Kevin! AND MOE'S!!11 Also, Warrior vest alert behind Kevin! :3

Nate bolted across the food court so he could get a photo of this Duke Nukem. I love the dude's face behind him.

Afterwards, we had a visit from Emily and Bria so they could pick up the stuff we drove down for them. Brandyn (MR. B!) and Linh came too - Brandyn giving us a, "WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH YOUR NUMBER ON YOUR ROOM?" We cackled, saying we had no idea.

IT WAS LINH'S LIFEDAY~! Well, not really. But she had ordered a lightsaber from Ultra Sabers and had it shipped to me so I could give it to her at D*C (it wouldn't have made it to her in time for con). I brought it in the UPS box and Linh got to open it like it was Christmas LIFEDAYYYYYY. We made a billion horrible jokes, naturally.

I love these photos. First she was wibbling about not being able to get it open. Then wibbling about all the packing peanuts (NATE'S CLEANING OCD WAS WIBBLING ABOUT THE PEANUTS TOO).

Yay! PEACE AND WEAPONS~ XD

I don't even know. But I love the fact that Brandyn is looking at us like, "lol oh god we're at dragon*con again."

HAVE A PEANUT, OKAY.

We didn't really do much else that night except nerd and watch Dragon*Con TV.

THANKS TO HOMEWORK, I've had a crap chance to write my con report -- meaning the longer it takes to get written, the less I remember. I AM TRYING AS HARD AS I CAN THOUGH. :3

More soon!
