So this interview with Jared Padalecki from the other day...

THR: What panel would you stand in line all day for?
Padalecki: I’m a big Star Wars fan and grew up watching the movies. I read all the books and have read Star Wars fiction that went between the newest trilogy and the original trilogy and it was part of my childhood. I’d love to see George Lucas’ take on the last three decades of fandom that he largely inspired. So Lucas and all the producers from the original Star Wars movies.

My mind just collapsed on itself -- even if it's only prequel EU, there has to be some knowledge there of other EU possibly...? SO IF I WENT TO A SUPERNATURAL CONVENTION AND SAID, "YOU'D MAKE A KICKASS JACEN SOLO, OKAY? OKAY." HE JUST MIGHT UNDERSTAND THAT I'M NOT SPOUTING RANDOM BULLSHIT (watch, then he pulls out, "BUT KYP DURRON IS MY FAVORITE"... NO.)~

P.S. This entry totally wasn't an excuse to post another picture of Jared, but come on, did you see the photo they used on the layout of the site with the interview...?

HAIR. MAGICAL HAIR.

I'm trying to work on a new layout for echuta.net but THE INTERNET IS SO DISTRACTING.

AW YES.

WOOOO! Tenel Ka is on the back cover of Conviction! AND SHE HAS NEW CLOTHES (and looks so angry and purty oh man). You know what this means - I need your helpsssss. XD

Now, I have sort of ideas on all this, but I wanted to get some ideas from you bros as well cause I'm sure mine are somewhat ghetto, lololol.

1.) THE BOTTOM. So we see possible scaleness on the sleeves - which is the whole ARMOR WARRIOR THING so then would the rest of the outfit be warriorish too? Pants and belts and boots and pouches and such? Or is the flowy thing an actual dress instead of a jacket/loose robe? I thought a dress could be pretty but it might look a little goofy with the warrior sleeves...? MAYBE? WHAT IS THE BOTTOM?

2.) THE COLORS. What colors does everyone see in that thing (sleeves, top, chain, etc.) since it's obviously not all red, hahah~ XD

3.) THE SLEEVES. Look too small to be the scales I have lolol. I could make them out of fabric, perhaps? I have to find a good pattern on said fabric though - or maybe paint/sew together different fabrics. OH MAN

THANK YOU FOR YOUR COSTUME OPINIONSHELP, GUYSSSSSSS~ <333333

LIKE A 999 PICSPAM, POSSIBLY?

I'll include some outside of the cut that aren't spoilers -- but under the cut it's a freakin' free for all. I have pictures from two of the most important endings. Two of the endings that GIVE YOU ANSWERS TO THINGS. If you don't care about spoilers (whether you will play the game or not), feel free to partake in the pretty/insane/sometimes kind of bloody art. If you do care about spoilers -- DO NOT CLICK ON THE CUT BELOW. For now, here are some non-spoilery pictures. XD

(Although, if you are planning on playing and don't look at the spoiler pictures PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO GUESS ANYTHING THAT WILL HAPPEN. Just go with it, don't start saying WELL THIS HAS TO BE HOW IT GOES. Just go with it~ it will totally pay off in the end. ;D)

And yes, I totally took all these pictures of the DS with my camera, MUAHAHA WUT.

This is one of the only times in the game that when you actually see Junpei, he is not making an expression like he's screaming bloody murder.

And here is the only other time. P.S. Junpei, you look like shit.

Aaaaaand that's what I was waiting for. That's the face. I imagine this to be the face when Junpei gets any type of news. June sort of gets a fever at different points (this is right near the start) and he flips his shit, as you can see.

I want Santa and Seven to give each other a giant hug.

This is the first time you see these four. Someone on the world wide web said what we were all thinking with this version of the picture. XD

Aaaaand the other staircase. Loooove~ <3333 Snake's hand = so cute.

Get used to this.

I can't-- I just... these two.

THAR BE SPOILERS UNDER HERE. Also, there be sexcellent pictures under here. Also, nightmares. )

NGHGGGGGGH NOW I NEED TO GO PLAY AGAIN.
tenel_ka: ([ games - 999 ])
I haven't gushed over something like I'm about to gush in a really long time. So I apologize for any massive amounts of CAPSLOCKING or anything I do here.

I just returned from Florida and Disney World the other night and that will get a whole billion posts in itself (lol) but this is about something that is long overdue for me to fangirl relentlessly about on here.

For the past few weeks I have had my nose jammed in my Nintendo DS playing a little game called 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors. Now, this is the type of game called a "visual novel" - this basically means there is a shit ton of reading. I don't mind this, although I know some folks do, which is why I'm throwing the warning out.

These are your 9. Most of them like being dicks occasionally. You're Jumpy Junpei, the bro in the middle with the kickass vest.

Another crazy thing concerning me and this game... I adored (so so so hard) BioShock 2, Fallout: New Vegas, Alan Wake, Epic Mickey (which I'm still in the middle of), Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, Rock Band 3 and so on. But I really have to say that 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors is my 2010 game of the year.

Sure, there's a lot less "playing" in 999 than there is in the other games listed above, but one of the most important aspects of something I'm playing is the storyline and the characters. If I don't care about the plot or don't give a flying shit about any of the characters then the game loses everything for me. I'm probably one of the only people in the 2010-999-GOTY boat (and everyone else will probably hate it, lol), since so many amazing things came out this year, but seriously... this thing kept me awake at night.

Other things that happened because of this game:
- I read up on the history of the Titantic, Olympic, Britannic/Gigantic
- I did math problems on my own accord without being forced to (while not playing the game!)
- read up on Prosopagnosia
- looked at the origins of the premises (fiction or not) of ice-9 and Morphogenetic fields/Rupert Sheldrake
- thought damn long and hard about Locke's Socks/Ship of Theseus, etc.

I was slapped across the face with my first ending (there are six - my first was the KNIFE ENDING, if anyone has played XD). I didn't see it coming at all. It just happened. And when it happened, it was 2 in the morning. It was a pretty horrible ending and I curled up under my blankets in bed afterwards and stared at the ceiling, working through digital roots in my head and probable scenarios on how exactly this ending could have happened. The stabby noises in the ending might have helped keep me awake too. :|

I was thinking about it on the way to work the next morning. That day, on my lunch break, I played more. That night after returning home from work - played more. That night in bed, more. Once I got all six endings... the way everything pieced together from each ending and conversation (BESIDES ALL-ICE, I JUST-- I CAN'T EVEN LOLOLOLOLOLOL) was so perfect. RECENT M. NIGHT NEEDS A HINT FROM THIS GAME, MMKAY.

When I started the game I was kind of "meh" about the characters, thinking a couple would grow on me and a couple would just be there. But I ended up loving them all. Santa, June and Junpei are at the top of my list and my god, some of the dialogue in this thing is so so so precious.

- "The jury's still out on whether or not it was the work of a pervert, but there's a hole in it."

- "Hermes, herpes... whatever."

- "I'd rather sink to the bottom of the ocean than escape with this sausage-fest."

(Nintendo DS games always have some of the best storylines and characters and crap - I'm looking at you Phoenix Wright/Professor Layton/Hotel Dusk~ <3)

Really, if you saw my twitter, you could see I was pretty much peeing my pants of fright and jumping up and down with excitement and EVERY. SINGLE. DAMN. THING. I could go on for hours about this game, but I'll try to contain my herpderp for now. But like I said on there: "Very rarely do I come across a book/game/show/etc. that eats away at me until I finish it. Where it's one of the only things on my mind. I can think of four things that fall into this category off the top of my head: The Long Walk, BioShock, Lisey's Story and Silent Hill 2."

I mean, these endings came up and the characters dropped all these damn perfect story/knowledge bombs - my jaw was sweeping the floor so hard, I was having flashbacks to when James Sunderland watched that videotape or Alex Shepherd realized what he was to his family or when I met Andrew Ryan for the first time - jdsfjakjsdjfksdfjjk THIS GAME.

It's definitely in my top five, possibly climbing into the top three. I've already gotten all the endings but I CAN'T STOP PLAYING IT. I JUST KEEP GOING.

(I WILL NEVER STOP HAVING NIGHTMARES ABOUT CERTAIN THINGS IN THIS GAME -- "I'm sorry, did I stutter? I KILLED HER.")

P.S. I know I always crush on fictional characters - but oh man, Santa, THIS MAN I CAN'T EVEN-- he curses more than I do and HIS DAMN HAIR IS MAGICAL. HIS OUTFIT IS TOO. His snark wins everything though. Something else that wins? THIS MAJOR SPOILER. And once I knew what was with the two of them THAT SCENE HURT EVEN MORE. XD

SO YEAH, IF YOU LIKE READING AND STUFF. 999.

Okay seriously, it's caps lock time and I apologize in advance. so hard. XD

I OWE [livejournal.com profile] rurouni_jedi MANY, MANY BABIES. FIRST YOU NEED TO READ THIS THREAD. HERE LET ME QUOTE TO YOU WHAT SHE SAYS:

"... I have been really effing busy. I was hired to work on the Star Wars Galaxy: 5 sketch card set from Topps. I don't know if anyone is familiar with sketch cards, but they basically hire artists to do these hand-drawn sketch cards, and one sketch card is inserted into each pack of trading cards."

<3333 I KNOW RIGHT, OKAY. NOW. YOU NEED TO GO THROUGH THAT THREAD AND LOOK AT ALL THE PICTURES SHE WAS ALLOWED TO POST (since she is only allowed to share certain ones at the moment and all that jazz). Horn Family! Myri Antilles! Tycho/Wes/Wedge/Hobbie!

BUT I WOULD LIKE TO PUSH YOU TO TWO VERY SPECIAL PICTURES THAT MAKE MY HEART SKIP LIKE TEN BEATS EACH.

RAYNAR, TENEL KA, ZEKK, JACEN, ANAKIN, JAINA (Tenel Ka = <333333333, Jacen looks so amazing, I love how tiny Jaina is, the fact that the Solo kids are all attached and and and ZEKK'S EXPRESSION, SO PERFECT.)

I played Fallout 3 for six hours today. I haven't sat on my ass and played a game for that long in one sitting in a long while and you know what? IT FELT NICE. Gave some Teddy Bears to the family up in Pittsburgh, went to Maryland -- to Point Lookout and found some inbred yokels who tried to kill me (I'm not lying, I'm super serial - "Their physical deformities are most likely the result of inbreeding and radiation."), made some moonshine, killed some Mirelurks and did what I think was my favorite quest in the whole game (I still have about ten more to do, and I've done somewhere around 40-45, but this one really took the cake for me). It was during Point Lookout and it was called Walking With Spirits.

Now, I absolutely love games that have crazy-ass symbolism and mess with your mind (the Silent Hill series, Eternal Darkness, etc.) so this quest was right up my alley. It was a giant mindeff. There's so much crazy shit that happens in this quest it's not even funny -- and it calls back to things you've done in the game previously (the nuke in Megaton, the birthday party in Vault 101, the collection of Nuka Cola Quantums). When I came out of the cave and saw the needle stitching up the ground (and earlier the bonesaw), looked to my left and saw the ruined Washington Monument (I was still hours away in Maryland, mind you) and then came upon the skeleton labeled "Mom" on a table (the same table I was born on at the beginning of the game) -- with an effing birthday party hat on to the sounds of a flatline -- I flipped out and professed my <3 for the quest. Then I started finding people in the water I knew and talked to at different points in the game and when I touched them they would vanish and the whole feel of the quest (you are picking up items that have bitchy things written on them XD) was YOU SUCK HARD AND YOU'RE ALL ALONE IN THE WASTELAND. POOR YOU.

AND THEN A PIECE OF MY BRAIN WAS TAKEN OUT. AND THE QUEST WAS OVER. AND I GOT XP FOR IT...?

(this is when I realized the giant bonesaw and the needle was pretty much A PIECE OF MY BRAIN BEING TAKEN OUT OF MY HEAD.)

... dear Fallout 3, babies plz. <3, me.

Aaaaand Nate and I were in Target Friday night in the electronics section looking at video games and on the massive wall of giant televisions a BioShock 2 commercial came on. We both stopped in the middle of our conversation, stared at it in awe, grinned at each other like the super dorks we are and then went right back into our conversation. <3 Heh.

OH MY GOD IS THIS REAL I DON'T EVEN---

Valve has announced the first piece of DLC for Left 4 Dead 2, which brings in Louis, Bill, Zoey and Francis from the first game to meet the cast of the second. It also promises new game modes, and a new Uncommon Common infected for the new location.

We're excited! It's due to arrive "early 2010," according to the press release, which continues thus:

"Dubbed "The Passing," the first game add-on for L4D2 brings the original Left 4 Dead (L4D1) Survivors down south for a meeting with the L4D2 cast, while delivering new single-player, multiplayer and co-operative gameplay for the PC and Xbox 360.

Targeted for release in early spring, "The Passing" takes place just after the Dead Center campaign of L4D2. Set in a small town in rural Georgia, players assume the role of the L4D2 Survivors as they meet with the L4D1 characters.

In addition to the new co-operative campaign and associated narrative, "The Passing" will include new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge mode and introduce a new co-operative challenge mode of play. The Passing will also include a new "uncommon common" zombie class, melee weapon, and firearm.

'The Passing will become the most important campaign in the Left 4 Dead story, as all the Survivors are being called together in one campaign,' said Doug Lombardi, VP of marketing at Valve. 'It will also be a huge offering of new gameplay content, with something new for every game mode plus a new uncommon common and weaponry.'"

Okay, so this song. THIS SONG. Like I have said before, it is a seven minute eargasm. I don't know what it is, there's just a bunch of slick things about it that when they all add up it makes for an AMAZING SONG. I know I call Jared Leto OMG SO EMO and stuff for fun sometimes (cause it totally fits what can i say lol) but I still love him (and his emoness) cause it all works in this seven minutes perfectly. Perfectly.

It takes at least a minute to get to the vocals, the buildup of which is slow and actually a little creepy/foreboding (I love the fact that it goes from hard to this simple beat when he finally starts singing) and then the first two lines of the song are like, "...did he just say what I think he said?" (yes, he did) -- and the best is whenever it explodes into the chorus. I'm not just using explode as an omgkewl word here. I mean it actually like blows up in your ear (this song sounds awesome in headphones); it just comes out of nowhere and grabs you and drops you into this ANGSTY PIT OF BEAUTIFUL SOUNDING TORMENTY THINGS. Leto is usually all growly and then he gets into his soaring notes and shit, which he does in this song, of course. But he also has some sort of, I don't know how to describe it, this weird thing going in this song -- it's almost like he's desperate. It's not a bad weird either (it's actually pretty hot D: ...again what can i say). The way his voice fits over the long notes in the chorus = <33333. sfjdkjafj ai can't kjfdjks so good AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAYS IT'S EPIC...

"This is War is a record that will please both new and old fans alike. It merges the two differing sounds of the band’s previous two releases, as it is crammed with catch-all choruses as mentioned but is also fairly progressive as the band’s self-titled debut was. Only these progressive moments are more haunting and epic than ever before, as Stranger in a Strange Land proves."

I want to see them in concert so bad. I hope they come back here to tour after their U.K. tour. Although I might faint if they played this song THEN I WOULD MISS IT AND THAT WOULD BE BAD.

SONG SONG SONG. LISTEN TO THE LOVE. I MIGHT BE ABLE TO PROVIDE WITH AN MP3 IF ANYONE WANTS THE REAL QUALITY (WITH THE EXPLOSIONINGSSS -- cause lol on the youtube the exploding magic wants to blow the speakers out).

(ALSO, I LOVE THE CUTE PISSED OFF TIGER ON THE FRONT OF THIS CD.)
tenel_ka: ([ boys - leto ])
I am here to gush about two things I purchased this week. I would've bought them on Tuesday, but I had a nice Best Buy coupon that started Friday. So I had to wait out the rest of the week. It was almost painful to wait because these were two things I have wanted for a long, long while now. BUT NOW I HAS DEM.

1.) THIRTY SECONDS TO MARS - THIS IS WAR -- Oh maaaaaan what. I can't even I don't whhhaaaaaat. This was worth the wait between cds. It all fits together so well and they're trying new things (that actually work) and it's just perfect. The song Stranger in a Strange Land has basically broken my TOP TEN LIST OF FAVORITE SONGS EVER. I could get into the song, but I feel like I will be sharing it with you all in a post dedicated strictly to the song and how it sounds and every little thing about it that I love (AND MAYBE A LINK TO LISTEN LOL). A+ 30STM. <3

2.) SILENT HILL: SHATTERED MEMORIES (Wii) -- Okay, right up front I will say that I was highly skeptical about this game and if it could do the series justice. I'm not that far into it yet but I can already say that it totally does the series all kinds of justice. I was spooked out by the way my coloring of the family picture affected what I saw and the creatures just creep me the eff out.

Having the phone calls and messages come straight from the Wiimote's speaker is an absolute genius move too. And can I just say ALL THE VOICE ACTING SO FAR IS AMAZING HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE???? Even little parts like the phone message from the angry mother while she's talking to Diane and bitching about the crappy family vacation -- it's perfect. I also like calling all the random phone numbers I find. That's lots of fun too. The fact that there's no combat, just running and pushing and hiding, takes a little bit to get used to, but it's actually kind of awesome and I'm okay with it. It fits. And the way the chase sequences are looks great.

(Nate says the Raw Shocks -- love the name of them, by the way -- just look lonely. They're hugging Harry to death! They just want a friend! D:)

And as pissed as I was about them changing character designs and junk, new!Harry is awesome (love his jacket -- and his glasses oh man <3) and I got this version of Cybil (which is absolutely smokin', by the way <333). I'm a fan so far and I'm interested to see where it goes. It's definitely much different than the original Silent Hill.

Even though it's giving me nightmares. Seriously, the chase sequences. dkjfaklsdjfkajsdfkljaskldfjasdfj nightmares. D:

I think I need a SHSM icon.

(I love how you can call the Konami Help Line from Harry's phone. <333)

Okay, so remember how I was bitter at Del Rey for Legacy of the Force -- and everything after it (and yeah, I guess I still am lololol)? WELL THEY RECEIVED SOME POINTS ON MY SCALE. IT'S LIKE THEY OFFERED THIS BOOK AS AN APOLOGY TO EVERYONE AND IT FITS ME LIKE A GLOVE.

(Except I'm still bitter. I will never get over your treatment, Jacen Solo. CALL ME, ZOOKEEPER!!1 <3)

DEATH TROOPERS.

My reasons for love. Let me show you them.

1.) Two of my favorite things made sweet undead love and had a baby. STAR WARS and ZOMBIES.

2.) Dr. Zahara Cody is a medically-trained, smart, kickass female who isn't whiny and doesn't need to be saved multiple times -- not that I'm bashing any of the other Star Wars characters out there (like maybe DAIRY QUEEN FROM THE NJO? oh snap i'm just kidding except i'm not no okay maybe i liked her a little).

3.) Chapter 39 made me tear up like a little baby. I'm not lying. The shortness of it. The animalistic grappling and the emotion and JUST GUH. THE TONGUE AND THE TEETH AND THE FLESH. JOE SCHREIBER, YOU ARE A MONSTER AND I LOVE IT. fkasjkfjdkjfaskfjasj

4.) Jareth Sartoris is an EM-EFFING A-HOLE. HAAAAATE. WITH THE BLASTERS AND THE ESCAPE POD WITH M'BOYS. HAAAAAAATE.

5.) Stuff like this: That was when his toe struck something soft and yielding, and when he glanced down he saw it was a human leg.

Very slowly, he looked up.

The leg was connected to a torso, covered up by another, and another, the pile growing in front of him comprising what he realized was hundreds of dismembered corpses -- heads, arms, legs, and whole bodies, bare bones, many of them still dressed in rotten Imperial uniforms and incomplete stormtrooper armor. The bodies had been mangled like parts in an abattoir, some of them in handcuffs and manacles, others hacked recklessly to pieces, still others looking partially devoured, whole gobbets of flesh gnawed off.

GROSS. <3

6.) KALE LONGO. OH MY GOODNESS, THIS BOY. <3 This boy is Jacen Solo levels of hot. And he is pretty much the opposite of Jacen too. When he and his awesome little brother, Trig, hear things they can't explain (crying, something eating something else totally innocent, screaming, etc.) it's not Jacen's, "OH GAWD LET'S GO HELP THEM MY EMPATHY SENSE IS TINGLING WAIIIII EMO HURTZ" it's more, "It's none of our business. Let's go." He cares about himself and his little brother, which gets me to...

7.) Trig and Kale's relationship. IT'S SO NICE TO SEE A SET OF SIBLINGS WHO LOVE EACH OTHER AND CARE FOR EACH OTHER AND SHOW IT AND SHIT. There is a part where a man COUGHS BLOOD in Trig's face and then:

"Hey," Kale said, placing one hand on Trig's shoulder. "Come here." He lifted the hem of his shirt and and wiped his brother's face off, the first tears mixing with the guard's blood. "It's all right."

"This is bad," Trig said.

"We've been through worse."

Trig couldn't answer. He put his face against his brother's chest, and hugged him fiercely. Kale hugged him back. "Shh," he said, "'S okay."

SO DARLING. <3

8.) DID I MENTION THERE WERE EFFING ZOMBIES IN THIS BOOK? BECAUSE THERE ARE AND THEY ARE AMAZING. STORMTROOPER ZOMBIES. IMPERIAL OFFICER ZOMBIES. INMATE ZOMBIES. EATING THINGS.

9.) The scene with Kale and Dr. Cody and the scalpel. I... I will have nightmares about this for weeks. The descriptions are almost too much and they work so well and just -- GET RID OF IT, CUT IT OUT, GET IT OUT OF ME

10.) The chapter titles, oh my god. The ones that are standing out in my head right now are MEAT NEST, COFFIN JOCKEYS, LUNG WINDOWS, SKIN HILL and STOP.

(sjkfdaksfsdfjdfjdkfja dsf STOP is Chapter 39. D:)

11.) I read 120 pages of this book in one sitting. I think the last Star Wars book I did that with was Traitor.

12.) KALE LONGO TEARING SOMEONE'S FACIAL PIERCINGS OUT. BADASS. I LOVE YOU, KALE. <3 (Also, waking up from your snoring to tell Myss to shut up = <33333333333)~

13.) Waste is such an awesome 2-1B droid.

14.) The characters are really strong. They were all tied together very well and even the smallest characters actually get... well, character. Take Armitage, for example. We don't see him in the book that much at all. But we know where he's from (Faro), all about his doofy hairstyle from the others making fun of him, we know he's a painter and what he paints (what he's forced to paint and wants to paint) -- and we see him making one of the nastiest discoveries in the book. Yet he's in the book for no more than a total of five pages. Also, Austin. What a dick. But I loved him. The way he looks at Dr. Cody when Dr. Cody is talking to Gat makes him so not classy and so awesome. And on the subject of characters... DID I MENTION KALE AND TRIG LONGO????????

And the best...

15.) THE TWO PRISONERS WHO WERE IN SOLITARY THAT I SHALL NOT NAME FIGHTING DAMN ZOMBIES. YESSSSSSS. They aren't technically cameos cause they're in a good chunk of the book, but they don't broadcast that they're in the book either (their relationship with the Longo boys is SO ADORABLE too).

I'll give you a REALLY SPOILERY visual hint as to who they are: SHIT YESSSSSSSSSSSS.

BRB GOTTA GO FINISH THE BOOK.

(... I'm not debating on picking up Kale in the SW Dressing Room. D: I'm not, I'm not.)

("What's wrong?" Kale asked, a drowsy murmur that came out: Wussrong?

Trig cleared his throat. His voice had started changing recently, and he was acutely aware of how it broke high and low when he wasn't paying strict attention. "Nothing." <333333333333333)
tenel_ka: ([ games - inside the vault ])
So before about a couple weeks ago, I had been playing Fallout 3 on an on-and-off basis, usually whenever I wanted to sit down and wander. But now -- and I don't know when it happened -- I just want to sit down for hours and explore every nook and cranny of this post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

I don't know if it's my proximity, living in Northern Virginia and all (omg when I discovered the Fairfax Ruins, I flipped), or the dark humor that runs through a lot of the game or maybe the desolate atmosphere and the twisted versions of items we've been used to here in the real world -- probably all of the above, not to mention the whole retro-futurist thing, which I've always duuuuuuug.

Anyways, I've played this bitch for forty hours so far and I'm not even halfway through the main quests. In fact, I haven't done very many parts of the main quest at all. But today I did accomplish getting some airhead 30+ bottles of a slightly radioactive cola, I managed to spread a little bit of forest around the Capital Wasteland by uh... rubbing some stuff on a tree's heart... and I started bringing chopped off fingers of bad guys to the Regulators for some well-deserved cash moneys BOTTLE CAPS. Heeeeeee.

But yeah, I've always been a sucker for games in alternate time periods and those crazy, warped, grungy settings. BioShock, Omikron, Galerians -- this steps right in line with them and I just can't say enough about how much I love jgdf jj fjag dfjgaifhd ufh jdhfa fdsfjsd MY ROBOTIC BUTLER. HIS NAME IS WADSWORTH. PSP Persona remake! Set for OFFICIAL NORTH AMERICAN RELEASE BEFORE THE END OF THE YEAR. :D

Besides Final Fantasy VII, this was the first RPG that got me to want to play more games. I remember being at Blockbuster looking for games to play on my PSX and I saw this game called Kartia. I turned it over to look at the back of the box and saw a tiny ad for some weird-ass looking game called Revelations: Persona. It had some of the character art on it -- I specifically remember seeing Ellen, Alana and Chris. I fell in love with Chris (I COULDN'T HELP IT HE LOOKED SO SNARKY AND TORTURED AND I WAS RIGHT) right there and knew I had to play this game.

I couldn't find it anywhere.

I finally found it at a flea market in Florida while we were on vacation. I got it for around $20. It was an old copy as it is, but I played that game so damn much the disc cracked and would skip and freeze when I got into a battle. I had to get another copy off of ebay. I still have the cracked disc hanging on my wall in my room.

I will definitely admit I'm a little worried about the rumored changes. Like the WHOLE BRAND NEW SOUNDTRACK and so on. But I'm reserving my judgement, I'm waiting before I flip my lid. Right now I'm just excited about the fact that they're actually bringing it over here. The fact that I'll get to see my favorites in the pretty new cutscenes and hear my pharmacy music!

A poster on the Atlus forums summed up exactly how I feel:

"No offense to those whining about the way the game looks, but for us older fans of the series, this was our little treat, since we've been dry-heaving on Persona 3 and 4, which while they're good games, just lack the dark, brooding essence of the regular-line of MegaTen games. Persona, while one foot in the high-school train, still was a very dark game, with the ambiance in sound we'd grown to love, so for us, it worked great. Not only but the way you explored the dungeons in first person was something that to us (older fans) was a very appreciated sentimentality, since that's how the start of this series was.

Persona 3 and 4 are great, but there's a much, much darker universe of MegaTen out there than that. Some of you guys should give it a chance, rather than complaining that there's a lack of hippity-hop, and light-heartedness in your Persona soup. Take it for the ingredients it has to present on its own."

It's coming out in Japan in April, so we'll get to see some of the changes then (music, etc.) -- but I'll have to wait a little longer to see what else they do.

STILL. STILL EXCITED. PERSONA~! :D

I get to revisit these babies! YAY EYE CANDY~ (soooo cute!)

Also, will they change Mark's skin color again? Keep their japanese names? SO MANY QUESTIONS.

AND OMG THIS MEANS I GET TO SEE ALFRED AGAIN. AND I REALLY HOPE THEY KEEP IN NATE'S, "Zombies! How dare you!"

So I got home from work today and there was a package by the door. It was my copy of House of the Dead: Overkill for the Wii and my darling little Perfect Shot Gun.

I have no words for how much fun it is. I am ordering another one of those pretty little Wii-colored guns so when I unlock DUAL-WIELD MODE I can play with BOTH GUNS. :D

(Two guns also means co-op! ZOMBIE SHOOTING FUN~)

NEW SONG :O (I love how it goes from normal boppy PERSONA YAY to ROCK YOUR FACE -- it's actually sort of perfect and I actually kind of love it. It fits and that's the most important part. XD)

And and and dskdsadsfamsdjfksdljfasd TEASER MOVIE:

http://persona.atlusnet.jp/introduction/index.html -- Mary (Mark loves you still)! LOOK THEY'RE MOVING~ AND CHRIS ALWAYS IN THE PARTY CAUSE HE'S AWESOME. AND THE SNOW QUEEN QUEST. AND MY FIRST PERSON DUNGEONS LOL~ <3

I don't think I breathed at all while watching the teaser movie, dudes. This game corrupted me a decade ago and to see this happening -- it's exactly like this:

dslkjfalksjdfjlksjdf iewjfioesjf sdfij disjfasd fWHAT OMG.

(I will do some pitchforking and angry letter writing if Atlus isn't able to bring it over. I will move to Japan. D:)
