I know I had reservations about the Legacy series from the beginning, but honestly in my wildest nightmares I didn’t imagine it ending quite as horribly as this.
Killing Jacen off in that fashion is completely unbelievably ridiculous and truly disturbing if Jaina and everyone else calling for his death in the books are really supposed to represent the moral center of the story.
What the hell happened to the whole point of the original trilogy in the first place? Are we now honestly expected to buy that somehow Anakin Skywalker deserves redemption and compassion after twenty years of mass murder and galactic domination, but after less than three years of sithhood Jacen doesn't merit even a half-assed attempt from his own freaking sister?
And Zekk. My poor, poor, sad little puppy. I sort of want to know the how and why, but then I really don’t because I think it will just piss me off even more. He deserved better and I am ANGRY, even though I knew it would probably end that way for him.
And fuck Han and Leia. When one of your kids turns into a psychopath and the other one spends all her time at age thirty+ emo-ing about what boy she wants to tongue wrestle with this week, not to mention the one who died before he could vote I think your parenting license has just about freaking expired. And why the hell can’t Tenel Ka raise her own damn kid, anyway? Because it would just be too much effort to actually give her scenes and interaction and serious development, but we can’t do without the Solo heir front and center at all times? I call bullshit.
And I know exactly what you about the big hole of nothing. D: Zekk and Jacen were my boys in this fandom. I’ve only loved them since I was eleven and now that they’re gone I just don’t know what to do with canon anymore. Other than write ten billion AUs that somehow find a way around this mess. This freaking sucks.
Anybody else who is as :| as me concerning Jacen -- I will always be here to provide you with fixes.
