I don't really have a real super long report for this convention -- there are a few fun stories, but it was mostly wandering, buying things, talking to people and taking pictures, lol. CRAZY PICTURES FOLLOW.



So we get to the Gaylord Hotel Friday night and it took -2 seconds to get our badges (it was amazing). Here's the thing though, right when we walked in the hotel (which is huge, as is the con center part) we walked over to a map so we could figure out where the check-in counter was... this employee who was helping direct people was like, "OH ARE YOU GUYS HERE FOR THE MARRIAGE CONVENTION?" And Nate and I were like, "..........we're trying to find check-in."

(There were like two or three other events going on there the same time as Katsucon -- one of which was a convention that was helping out married couples who were fighting and having troubles, arguments, etc.)

So we got to check in and freaked out cause there were employees offering fruit and sodas to us. For free. Nate and I stood there and stared in amazement. This is where I say that the Gaylord was the most amazing con hotel I have ever stayed in. Sorry Atlanta/D*C hotels, sorry Crystal City Hyatt, I'M SORRY.

Here's Nate on one of the beds in the room. On the computer, natch. XD The clock on the nightstand was amazing cause instead of just catering to iPods, it catered to EVERY MP3 PLAYER IMAGINABLE. This meant (of course) that I put BT on super loud and danced around like a tool. It was really weird having just two people in a con room. But it was also awesome. There was no one there to accidentally disturb when we came in at 4 A.M., talking and throwing shit around and acting a fool. IT WAS WEIRD.


Here is Erin in her awesome original costume doing her best Bayonetta impression. Erin and Ronnie were showing us the way Bayonetta walked and shot her gun and it looked absolutely ridiculous (and hilarious XD) and sure enough, when we got back Sunday we downloaded the demo and it was ridiculous just like they told/showed us.


Friday night we were sitting around waiting for Erin, Ronnie, Jeremy, Alex and Chip to come to where the dance was and I was sitting here watching this dude thinking, "I KNOW WHAT THIS GUY IS FROM BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER OH MY GOD WHAT IS IT" -- then I remembered HE'S QUAIL MAN. LIKE FROM DOUG. I ran over to him to get a picture and gush over the QUAIL MAN. XD


This is Nate being lazy on one of the crazy cushy couches in the hallways of the Gaylord.


THIS IS A BIG HELL YES. We saw this girl while we were dressed as Luke and Layton and she was holding her Vault Boy head and I ran up to her to get a picture and she freaked out about just like I freaked out about her. I got a picture of her then she fished her camera out of her bag and got a picture of Luke and Layton being dorks, hehe. XD

The Gaylord started doing the fountain show in the Atrium and Pikachu got up in front of it and started dancing to the patriotic music. It was adorable. <333333


This Kanji was so great! Nate and I were in the Atrium in our Luke and Layton costumes and I saw this Kanji about to walk by and he caught us out of the corner of his eye and we made a beeline towards each other. I asked him if we could get his picture and he goes, "Only if I can get a picture of you guys~" so I took this picture and then he goes, "NOW YOU NEED TO SOLVE THE PUZZLE ON HOW TO USE THE CAMERA!" It was so classic. XDDDDD


Here's part of the giant Left 4 Dead shoot. I was mainly getting pictures of all the awesome survivors cause the other half was like 93284923 Hunters (you can see the beginning of them here). I giggled cause I was the only Hunter last year at Katsucon. Now there are 93284923. XD Also, the Ellis had a six-pack of bottled soda. Awesome. XD


More awesome survivors -- including two Rochelles(!), a Coach, a Louis <3, an awesome Bill and elvenpath on the right as Zoey!


Speaking of elvenpath! She is awesome and snarky and I love. <3 We walked around with her looking for all the Silent Hill cosplayers that were supposed to be coming to the SH photoshoot and didn't. We found a Josh (who was awesome and there is a picture following) and then Nate, her and I were standing on one of the upper levels of the Atrium and all the sudden she goes, "LOOK THERE'S A GUY IN A WHITE SHIRT IT MUST BE HENRY!" AND IT WAS. We were pretty far away BUT SHE KNEW IT WAS A HENRY and then we found the Henry and Eileen and they were darling and looked great and we got some pictures with them (we even went and found ROOM 302 IN THE HOTEL WITH THEM SO WE COULD ALL DORK OUT SILENT HILL 4 STYLE). XDDD

There is me as Lisa. This worked out pretty well for us cause there was still snow everywhere and Silent Hill is full of snow in Shattered Memories.


Like you know that part where Harry is following Lisa back to her apartment? LOOK WE DORKED OUT AND RECREATED IT except this was really just us making our way back inside cause it was FLIPPIN ASS COLD OUT.

Yeah, remember when Harry gets that phone call after he gives Lisa a pill?! I... have no idea what was going on here... I was calling Harry Mason and telling him he is a d-bag. With an ibuprofen in my mouth. XD

These were way way way too much fun. I was surprised how many people knew who Luke and Layton were too. I was glad to see that game getting love. I played the two games right when they came out and Nate is on the second one right now. Valerie and Brian have played them too and one time Valerie and I joked that Nate and I should do the costumes cause the height difference is perfect. THEN WE ACTUALLY DID THE COSTUMES. XD


OH NO, I THINK THAT'S A PUZZLE! Do you like Luke's man purse? Look at him running with his man purse. I always wondered what he kept in there. XD
