OCTOBER 2007 -- Disney World Recap! (finally D:) -- Part UNO.
I'm gonna marry Donald Duck.
I know I went to Disney World back in October of 2007(!), but a May pick-me-up of picspammage and yays is needed right now. D: IT'S LIKE SIX+ MONTHS LATE! But it's a way to relive the magic, bitches! Disney World report!
Disney World = magic, ya'll. I'm not shitting you. For real.
And I took 1,427 pictures overall, because I needed lots of reference material for the Disney story I'm writing. Hehe~ they obviously aren't all under this cut -- just a few choice ones of mine along with some of the Photopass pictures that got taken at the parks.
THE FIRST THREE DAYS:
SUNDAY - 10/21/2007: So the first thing I should say here is the slogan of the trip. Disney is doing it's Year of A Million Dreams thing and the saying all over everything is "Where Dreams Come True" -- and you know, that's been their thing for a long time. But as Valerie, Brian, Mom and I are all piled up in the rental car pulling up to the front gates (with Mickey and Minnie and Goofy on them), this is what I say.
"Where dreams come true, mother fucker!" *pause* "WHERE'S DONALD?!"
Ah yes, Disney World! <3
Anyways, I was pissed Donald wasn't on the welcome sign we passed as we kept on trucking to our hotel Coronado Springs. I effing love this place.
We had Mickey's Not-So Scary Halloween Party to go to that night at the Magic Kingdom, so we kind of sat around the hotel until it was time to go to that. For lunch we headed on over to our hotel's restaurant, the Pepper Market, which is all kinds of THE SHIT. There's basically a bunch of stations and you can get all kinds of different foods. I got a pizza for lunch that day from the Italian station. We had an awesome waiter too.
What sucks is that the whole night it was kind of raining off and on, but we all bought ponchos and dealt with it -- NOTHING WAS GONNA STOP US, DAMMIT.
So I threw on my brown shorts and my bright-ass yellow polo shirt, along with the matching cowboy hat and I was the stupid kid from the incredibly awesome/lame Nintendo game from 1990 called Adventures in the Magic Kingdom. What better character to cosplay in the Magic Kingdom than a kid who is in a game that takes place in THE MAGIC KINGDOM? Plus, this game has always been a huge joke in our family. Especially because Valerie and I didn't beat it until 2005. It was that fucking impossible.
(I also sang all the cheesy songs from the game while on the rides. Everyone wanted to hit me. It was awesome.)
SEE A PICTURE OF THE NINTENDO GAME AND KID HERE.
And then here is me I FOUND THE KEY FOR THE HAUNTED MANSION OH SHIT:

And here are some other fun pictures from that night.

LOL, look at the clouds. XD

OMG CINDERELLA'S COACH~ <3
The Halloween Party Parade was amazing. Especially this little kid who was sitting on the curb beside me named Daniel. He was dressed like Mr. Incredible and was so cute. He fell asleep with his head against my leg and then was all, "OMG" when that parade started. Some of the employees who were passing by before the parade gave out these little toy cars and little Daniel was going pretty crazy with them.
The characters in the parade were carrying these slick masquerade masks that reflected them somehow, like Aladdin had one of the Magic Carpet that he was carrying with him. And then as he was passing he came over and grabbed my bag like he was gonna steal it from me (SEE ICON, ALADDIN, GAWD). I giggled like a total fangirl. Yes, I did. Pictures from the parade!

OMG MICKEY WAS A JESTER <33333

Jack Sparrow on his float being all drunk and stuff. XD

They were all dancing and going crazy so it was hard to take pictures. D:

EEEEE YES~! The Haunted Mansion float and surrounding spookiness was awesome. Especially the LIVE ACTION OMG graveyard guard with the bloodhound and the ghost dancers! :D
We ate at Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland (LIKE WE ALWAYS DO) for dinner and near it on one of the bridges, it was awesome -- I was walking ahead and Valerie was trying to get my attention to call me back and finally she just goes, "HOOKER!" (which is a term we always use with each other, hehe) and I turn around like, "BUH?" This is all done right near a Disney employee, who just starts giggling at us. WHOOPS, OUR BAD.
As for characters, we met Buzz Lightyear, Woody, the Mad Hatter and Alice and THE STEPSISTERS OMG. They were so damn funny. Here are a few character pictures.

(HAHAH I love the look on Brian's face in this picture.)
Buzz made me kiss him and motioned for me and Valerie to call him later -- it was pretty classic. XD Brian was like, "WTF IS THIS?"
And rides! We did Tomorrowland Transit Authority (WEDWAY FOR THE WIN!), Carousel of Progress (GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW OMG), Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, Philharmagic (I bought lots of Pissed Off Donald merchandise!), It's a Small World, Haunted Mansion (shit yes!), Pirate's of the Caribbean (the upgrades were SPOT ON <3) and SPACE MOUNTAIN <33333333333333333 OMG SPACE MOUNTAIN. I want to hump that ride. D:
Mom and I were laying in our room before we went to sleep and I was flipping channels and I landed on a foreign channel and it was playing some Japanese action sword-fighting movie -- with GACKT!!1 So of course I laughed and took pictures:

-- and then later when I told Brian and Valerie, Brian was like, "I bet it was called The Prettiest Samurai." Which, I would totally not be surprised, MUAHAHAH~
MONDAY - 10/22/2007: This day I wore my Scrubs Dr. Acula shirt and two employees commented on it -- someone in the Ireland booth at the Food & Wine Festival and then the IBM booth girl in Innoventions. It was pretty awesome. I love when people know what that is. Hehe~ So today was our first full day at Disney and it was crazy, just like we like it. We went to MGM Studios (oh shit, sorry DISNEY HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS!!1) in the morning and then Epcot at night.
At MGM we rode the Tower of Terror, Rock N' Roller Coaster and the Great Movie Ride (gangster side!). We ate at the Sci-Fi Dine In for lunch, which has to be one of my favorite restaurants ever because the setting is awesome (it's like a Drive-In movie theater and you sit in cars) and they got a new menu which is great. I had a salad and this kickass BLT soup -- along with a GLOWING SODA (mom got one too LOL). I got my rave ice cube and put it on the strobe setting and then we had an ice cube rave in our car.

Also, it was pretty classic in the restaurant -- two of the waiters were going by (some of them are on skates <3) and one was like, "CAN I CHECK YOUR HEADLIGHTS?" And the other goes, "I SHOULD SMACK YOU!" I died. I love when they waiters get into it.
I bought some junk from the Star Tours shop before we went back to the hotel to rest. I got Mace a lightsaber and then I got a little stuffed Chewbacca, a bobblehead of Donald Duck dressed like a stormtrooper (SO CUTE) and then the best action figure in the world. Don Solo.
HERE ARE A COUPLE FUNMGM TOT PICTURES:

I am in love with that second picture. O_O
At Epcot (I LOVE THIS PARK WITH ALL MY <3), we rode Mission: Space and that was about it since we were coming back to the park at a later date and that night was supposed to be our EATIN' AROUND THE WORLD!11 at the World Showcase. Especially since it was the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot when we were there -- so in addition to the country pavilions they always have, they have a bunch of booths set up with food from a bunch of other places around the world. It's pretty cool.
I tried these really kickass truffles from Champagne, boxty potato pancakes from Ireland (and Mead!), grilled beef sirloin with chimmichuri sauce from Argentina, macadamia nut & chocolate bar from Austrailia (hello!) and then sake in Japan! I also got sukiyaki beef & chicken at the Yakitori House in the Japan pavilion because I am going to marry that place one day.
SPEAKING OF THE JAPAN PAVILION. CANDY! CAAAAAAANDY! The lady who makes the candy into animals was out and she's pretty awesome. We also realized she must have like 100 words programmed into her head as she does it because she'll just start like, randomly listing animals she can make and what she makes it all out of. She also says, "CAAAANDY!" --- which we were repeating for the rest of the week. After that, we went into Mitsukoshi and I spent a boatload of money on Japanese candies and food and drinks and all kinds of other awesome things.
Some pictures from Epcot:

MMmm, big golf ball.

Mission: Space! <3

Yay America Pavilion! Even though we always walk through you pretty fast.

MMmmm, Epcot fiber optics. I love these things and always have to go to Epcot at night at least once for them.

I love this picture. :D My mom's feet on the crazy star fiber optics.

BRIAN LOOKS CONFUSED.
Mom also tried Beverly, which is the nastiest fucking soda ever.
TUESDAY - 10/23/2007: Magic Kingdom in the morning! This was also the day of the shuttle launch, which we missed cause we were too busy watching the Pirate Tutorial with Jack Sparrow. The guy they had playing Jack was SPOT ON AND HOT. :O
HERE HE IS -- with his awesome second-in-command. They were both hilarious. XD

We rode Splash Mountain (first thing in the morning, woo!), Haunted Mansion (one time is never enough!), Peter Pan's Flight (heee!), Winnie the Pooh, Snow White's Scary Adventures and Pirates, again. XD
AND I MET ALADDIN. I WAS THE FIRST ONE IN LINE TO MEET HIM WHEN HE CAME OUT WITH JASMINE I WAS LIKE "HI YOU GUYS <3!!11" I was wearing my It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia shirt (the Paddy's Irish Pub one) and Aladdin was like, "lol you know you can make Pennsylvania with your hand! The genie showed me!" AND THEN HE DID IT. AND WE GOT PICTURES WITH THEM and I was on Aladdin's side, natch -- while Mom and Valerie went all princess with Jasmine.

We also met Mary Poppins and Bert, Pinochio and Hook & Smee. Hook stole my bag too, cause he's a Pirate. And then he pimped on Valerie which was also awesome.
MORE FUN PICTURES FROM MK:

HAUNTED MANSION <3333

An odd shot of the castle. :D

The fountain behind Cinderella Castle. I love the fact that if you look at the fountain from a kid's height the crown painted on the back wall of the fountain looks like it's on Cinderella's head. ^_^ Cuuuute~

We were told by the Photopass person to hold out our hands and look surprised at them. Valerie had told us this was the picture they added Tinkerbell into. And we all pretty much don't like Tinkerbell. You can really see that by Valerie and Brian's faces in this picture. XD

ARGH!

YAYAYAYYA HAUNTED MANSION <33333
On a disturbing note, Brian and I were standing around waiting for Mom and Valerie to get out of the bathroom in Adventureland and this dad and his son walk by to go to the bathroom and the dad goes, "Let's mosey on in here and pull out our pistols." I looked at Brian like, O_O and he looked the same way, so I know he heard it too. It was a sufficient creep out moment.
I bought an awesome Walt Disney postcard at one of the gift shops and we ate lunch at the Liberty Tree Tavern. Then we went and lounged around the hotel for the rest of the day (ate dinner at Pepper Market - HAM AND CHEESE! <3). We ended up at the awesome pool that night, where Valerie kept trying to put a leaf on me that was brown and looked like poo (POO LEAF!) and then I sat up in one of the chairs and wrote some of my Disney story for awhile.

POOOOOL! I love me some Coronado Springs. And the Pepper Market omg.

(I refuse to tell my family, but I really want to go back to Disney just so I can see the redone Pirates ride. They would laugh at me.)
no subject
And don't tell them about the redone ride. Just bring it up like a family trip. "OH FAMILY! WE SHOULD GO TO DISNEY WORLD. IT WILL BE A BONDING EXPERIENCE OF A MAGICAL LIFETIME." And all that other sappy-awesome Disney stuff. XD

It's probably a good thing you guys have those little books and you keep notes, because I'd forget half of the goofy shit that happened if it wasn't written down.
Kermit's Iced Assholes FTW!

And yeah, I've had the report thingum written for awhile now -- it's just resizing all the pictures and uploading them. :| The book helped so much with the all the actual OMG THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED. Of course half the stuff I wrote in the book was like stuff I had to go back to Valerie and be like WTF WAS THIS!?!?!?!?
