*pushes left thumbstick* "francis... Francis, FRANCIS!"

And in this post, I seriously profess my love to Left 4 Dead (GAME OF THE YEAR, WHAT? THAT'S RIGHT GEARS, I SAID IT).

The fact that there is pretty much no storyline whatsoever is classic. It gives you short bios on Bill, Zoey, Francis and Louis and then just lets you loose to kill zombies. You don't know how the infection started. You don't know exactly how the four of them got together. You only know that they've built up a pretty good sense of companionship (despite their big differences) and all they want to do is get out of this shit alive.

Number one, I love the characters. Bill is a dear, gruff old pissed off man. Francis is a tough biker who don't take no shit. Zoey is a college girl who has watched one too many horror movies. And then there is Louis, whom I love -- and he is a Junior Systems Analyst at his company's IT department (SO CUTE). The other night when the four of us played it was so awesome, and then Saturday night around midnight I played through the Death Toll campaign with Valerie and Brian and it was just as crazy. It was a little easier cause the computer player was super quick and intelligent (DAMMIT BILL!!1), so next time we might have to knock up the difficulty a notch. But it was still fun and crazy as hell.

I really love the fact that it changes things every time you play. Like when all of us would die and we would have to start from the last checkpoint there would be a Witch in another area where she wasn't before, or a Horde that would come barreling down an alleyway that we didn't run into before. It makes the replay value of this game ONE BIG YAY since it's different every time.

Another big awesome is the tagline for each campaign. They kill me. XD

No Mercy: Curing the infection, one bullet at a time.
Death Toll: Hell came to Earth. These four are gonna send it back.
Dead Air: Their flight just got delayed. Permanently.
Blood Harvest: No hope. No cure. No problem.

When you think party games you think Mario Party and Rock Band and stuff, yes, but this is my new favorite LET'S PLAY AS A GANG game. The yelling and the UTTER DESPERATION AND AWESOME FROM YOUR TEAMMATES WHEN THEY GET VOMITED ON BY A BOOMER. I LOVE THIS GAME.

I mean, come on, the tagline for the whole game is: IT'S THE ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE. BRING FRIENDS.

YES. <3

Also, it would make the coolest costume group ever. You get a Bill, a Francis, a Louis and a Zoey -- then you have a Hunter, a Smoker, a Witch and if someone is crazy enough, A BOOMER. Hell, you could have others be the Horde too. HEE~ <3

(So tempted to do a Hunter outfit. Or Zoey, since she has a simple outfit, would get to carry guns galore and is the only girl besides -- OH WAIT, I CAN BE A WITCH. XD)

My absolute favorite moment at this point in playing this game happened Saturday night, while we were on the dock waiting for the boat to arrive:

How we were all just watching when the Tank was harrassing poor Bill, and threw his old ass 300 yards into the ocean at 60mph; that was just too damn funny, especially considering that he lived through it. Heh heh...

I agree that if we end up with only three players again, we'll prolly have to jack up the difficulty setting one notch. It's amazing how the presence of just one NPC makes things so much easier. O_O

LOLOLOLOL NOW I LOOK BACK AT THIS COMMENT AND THINK OF US PLAYING ON ADVANCED~ XDDDD

And that was still awesome -- Bill getting flung around was CLASSIC.

omg I love this game. Love. It's so much fun. I mean, it makes me so tense and want to pee myself but it's so much fun. We set it on Normal difficulty and didn't die, but on Advanced setting it's kicking my ass!
