That was meant as a general statement, but I couldn't help but think of Bai Ling, because, WHAT A CLASSY BROAD. Though, it is my belief that Natalie Portman and Gwyneth Paltrow somewhat make up for America's mean reputation. (But then, America has an unfortunate tendency to fumble the concepts of "empty celebrity" and "merited celebrity"-- I know it's a little hard, A, but Japan-san has the same problem and still manages to get out of the house without embarrassing itself. ... most of the time. It's a value thing, I suppose.)
... I still Britney > Avril, though. At least Britney is honest in her whitetrashery. Augh.
