Looking at the preview for issue #19 of the Runaways makes me happy I drifted off and didn't have time to read it anymore. It makes me sad in a way, but also, not really. Now it's just full of cameos and totally pulled-out-of-the-ass relationships (or just lots of slutting? O_O) and it looks like a bad fanfiction now. Awwwww. Fandom gone sour for me. ;-;

Plus, Fat Momma is a way cooler superhero than everyone. XD MUAHAHAHA~

Now I must go cut out more TK scales.

And now kids, it's time for my feel-good post of the month or year or something. O_O

Job: Sure, some parts of it can get tedious -- but it pays crazy good, with full reimbursement for schooling and benefits -- especially since I was riding on no health insurance for a few months at one point. And the people here = classic. Just today, James (first day back from his European vacation) comes back in and looks at the whiteboard -- "HOW MANY DAYS LEFT TILL SNAKES ON A PLANE?!" And comparing us all to hos at lunch today since we are contractors and that's basically what we do. XD I've been here for almost a year and I'm still very happy with it. I get bored with things fast too, usually. Like my last job, ho-em-gee. Didn't help that they treated me like I was eight or something. O_o


Home: jasa_solo is gonna be here a week from today. And I mean, like, permanently. XD There will be much video game playing and tv watching and costume making and taco eating (omg taco laredo dkjfaksjdfjk) and other things. Like going out and driving around at 2:13 in the morning or doing other totally random things.

Speaking of random things, we need to go skateboarding/rollerblading/falling again, el rhythm banditos. Because it will be not-as-burning-sweltering-hot outside. XD AND BUSCH GARDENS TRIP IN THE FALL FOR HALLOWEEN SHIT. (AND SONIC. <3 AND CLOWNS. D:) I won't get sick this time, I swear.


Entertainment: Michael Knight is so the man. He finally got screentime (called his mom! <3 XD) and won a challenge! I'm secretly rooting for Travis on So You Think You Can Dance -- and loved when he and Benji made themselves the otp TRANJI (complete with baseball caps) and made a million girls around the U.S. and such pee their pants of squee.

AND OH MAN, MICHAEL KNIGHT'S: "It's not like I was trying to play Captain Save-A-Ho..." = BEST QUOTE EVER. I totally need a shirt that says that. Captain Save-A-Ho.

Mom found The Chumscrubber on one of the movie channels last night and I became glued to it once more. It's so awesome. XD "OH HONEY, YOU PIERCED IT'S DORSAL!"


Conventions: OMG, in my head, I am so very happy with the way the Tenel Ka costume is turning out. If I can make it work out the way I'm seeing it, I will be as giddy as a little schoolgirl. Zexion coat is coming along -- thank omg that we're not using leather/vinyl/anything of the sort. Hello summer heat and sweat that stays locked in and drips down your skin! We ended up with something perfectly breathable and light. Our gloves aren't shiny/leathery either, which is good so they'll match with the coat. If their coats are canonistically leather, then oh-damn-noes. X| All in all:

Zexion: about 70%, wig about finished, coat almost done. BAH ON THE SLEEEEEVES.
Buster: complete
Cowboy: complete
Super Sekritt Costume of DOOM: hahaha, totally finished. XD
Tenel Ka: 23% Don't ask me where the 3% came from. O_O Currently cutting scales, need to get pants and put trim on, ordered boots, need to sew shirt, got the necklace painted and found perfect earrings, need to sew little capely thing.

As for others besides D*C, Jason and I talked about being Henry Townshend (unless I get my top secret Silent Hill costume done O_O) and James Sunderland at Anime USA this fall. Especially since there's supposedly going to be a Pyramid Head and a boatload of nurses there. He was going to be Walter, but he's gonna have to cut his perfect Walty hair so he can, you know, get a job. So we'll have to hold off on Walter -- James is almost as messed up in the head though. So <3. XD

Also, the rumors about Otakon moving to the Washington D.C. con center were hot. Even though it's not happening in 2007. I would love for it to happen though. Baltimore = balls to drive in and there's approximately minus three hotels around the con center. Plus, the whole dance-in-the-middle-of-a-hallway is just plain what?
