JHDJHJFD! I KNEW IT! Jason and I were sitting there in the theater on Friday seeing
300 and I was thinking to myself, "Shit. This song sounds so familiar. I swear this is from
Titus..."
From 300's wiki:
The soundtrack borrows elements from Elliot Goldenthal's 1999 soundtrack for Titus, giving rise to some controversy in the film composer community. '"Remember Us," from 300, is identical in parts to the "Finale" from Titus, and "Returns A King" (300) is similar to "Victorius Titus."I am always totally teary-eyed when "Finale" starts playing in
Titus (Young Lucius carrying Aaron's son into that effing gorgeous sunrise), and I think that was one of the reasons I started getting teary-eyed at the end of
300 (besides the obvious, hello). I usually don't cry at movies but that damn song can be played over anything and I'll start wibbling like a baby. O_O Although, when I look back I think Titus depresses me more. While 300 has the fighting and the bravery and the missing love -- Titus... it's the whole rape/cut tongue/titus & sons/aaron & son/tamora & sons/titus & daughter/mommy eating son-pie thing. You know Shakespeare.
Seriously,
FINALE -- from
Titus, for you. About 3:20 in is where it starts getting to me. I am going to wibble at it now. XD
...
Also, how do you make a video game of
300? Cause they most definitely did and I am wondering how it ends. O_o YOU WIN! NOW YOU DIE! HAY!?
P.S. Okay, just thinking of some of the imagery in that movie now is making me want to turn it on -- Lavinia and the tree braches, anyone? And the part near the end with the pies and the serving spoon thing and the neck and the -- and and and Anthony Hopkins and Jessica Lange and Alan Cumming and Jonathan Rhys Meyers and I HATE YOU MUSIC BECAUSE NOW I HAVE TO WATCH THIS MOVIE AGAIN. D: WTF.
