So I was fiddling around with a new type of free BBS/board system to decide if I wanted to convert KT/RJ/CR over to it (which I'm not really sure of yet) and I was thinking, "HAY HOW ABOUT BRINGING THAT GHETTO BOARD BACK???//"

So the board I made to play around with and fiddle with is telling me to turn it into the new Ghetto type forum. HEADSTRONG PEOPLE, Y/N? I MISS MY WHITE CLAUDIA AND STUFF. D: I mean, I'm sure it'll be more general crap than just SH stuff, since that's always what it boiled down to anyways, BUT YEAH.

MUAHAHAHA~

And boo on tomorrow being Monday. D: I wish tomorrow was Friday.

Okay, so when Radiohead released their new album for free (or WHATEVER YOU WANTED TO PAY) to download online I was like "mmmhmmm" and didn't really bother getting it. I'm not sure why, since they're one of my favorite bands ever, but the cd finally came out AS AN ACTUAL CD (I like buying cds, like actual music discs that I can hold in my hand and have pretty art with) and I saw it for $9.99 and I was like, "OH YEAH I FORGOT ABOUT THAT." And I picked it up randomly.

There is a song on this cd and it's called "All I Need" and it has to be one of the most gorgeous songs I have ever heard in my entire life. The way it starts out as a simple kind of slow tune and with every verse another layer of instruments gets added on -- and the things added always make the song sound more creepy and haunting -- especially verse two with the xylophone. The lyrics are a kind of an obsessive message of need (with a possible undertone of stalkage, which makes it all the more awesome)... but dude, when it hits 2:55 and this incredible crescendo starts building up and everything gets all powerful and Thom starts going crazy and wailing "It's all wrong, it's all right" -- WITH THE PIANO AND AND AND IFDJLjfklsjdflkajsldf.

This song is fucking amazing. AMAZING, I SAY. JOYGASMIC! And then whenever it ends I realize I was pretty much holding my breath like WAIT FOR IT WAITFORIT. So much <3.

This song has restored my faith in Radiohead. :O

... “All I Need,” is a song whose heart-stopping crescendo compares with any of the band’s best moments. The searching, wrenching, self-deprecating lyrics might well sound like a parody of 90s-era earnestness (“I’m an animal/ Trapped in your hot car”) if Radiohead failed to deliver convincingly. But as looming dread culminates in crashing piano, strings, xylophone, and cymbal, and with Yorke bellowing “It’s all right” and “It’s all wrong,” the song’s conclusion builds into a full-on dies irae.

... "All I Need" -- Listen once and you’re unsure. Listen twice, knowing that, three minutes in, a plangent pounding piano leads you out into a snowblind crescendo of melodic light and you’re excited before you even get there.

... "All I Need" is an even rarer beast: the smoldering, escalating ballad. The melancholy opening, the steady crescendo of desperation and, finally, the bombastic climax. The skeletal beat skips meekly. Two-note bass pulses push forward and pull back. Thom Yorke, his extraterrestrial melancholy as acute as ever, moans about being "an animal trapped in your hot car" and a stalker "in the middle of your picture, lying in the reeds." Two minutes in, pounding piano chords invade, drums and blaring sonics thrash about, a beautiful ascending keyboard melody floats above...

... All I Need: A beautifully melancholic song, it reminds us of familiar feelings of personal insecurities, inhibitions faced in relationships. The listener is simply crushed under the sonic waves of the crescendo towards the end.

AND SEE IT'S NOT JUST ME. D: And I bet you can't believe it's a song I absolutely adore and I CAN'T DANCE TO IT. :O I THINK IT MIGHT BE A FIRST.
