SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH, 2010

Nate and I woke up semi-early to start getting ready because we were meeting people in the lobby for STAR WARS: EXPANDED UNIVERSE FUN at 10. XD Thanks to me having apparently a metric ton of jewelry I made for the Warrior Queen outfit, we got down there a couple minutes late. Hehehe~

This is when Ashley told us about her adventure returning from the dance at 5:30am and going over to the window where her suitcase was only to glance out the window and find two people banging in the pool. The four of us were planning on swimming in the pool on Monday. These plans were instantly canceled when Ashley told us this. *shudder* The pool was also closed pretty much all that day. So maybe they caught whatever was in it. Or maybe they caused whatever was in it. *shuddddderrrrrrrr* D:

So downstairs we met up with darlings Kayla (Ben), Adam (Luke), Nic/

minusforever (Vestara) and Natalie/

blood_sorbet (Tahiri). Sara came along because she offered to take group pictures -- aka she is awesome. <333 XD

We went out onto the roof thing where we did the Strike Team pictures and goofed off there for a bit. Some of my pictures came out wonky cause I didn't realize my camera was set on manual when I gave it to Sara so I might have to bug

blood_sorbet for a couple. XD

We left our bags up on the upper part of the stairs and we were gonna go up and get them but Nate said he would go up and get them SO NATE WITH PURSES?

This is when we noticed that the Rebel Legion was having their picture over on the stairs and Ben, Jacen and Luke decided to go photobomb it.

There was a kid who was like AMBUSH!!1 and everyone giggled and got some shots of them over on the side since STAR WARS FANS ARE COOL. <3 They came back and we talked a little bit (Kayla, Nate and I already started planning Star Wars for Katsucon even though it's an anime con because it's Star Wars and it's awesome and pictures out by the water would be AMAZINGGGGGGG)~ and then Kayla had to head out to change costumes. :D

The rest of us meandered in to the Hilton lobby and there we found Saki! In her Ben costume! We were minutes away from having two Bens, which would have been awesome and a total headache for both Luke and Jacen. BEST PICTURES EVER~ <33

So we got some shots in the lobby as well and then Nate and I had to go back upstairs to change for our photoshoot with Christa. We brought a pizza back with us (and Saki!) and Nate ate his food and went to go put his contacts in. He ended up not getting them into his eyes (which he had only done once before and never wore contacts before that) before we had to leave to get to the Marriott in time to meet Christa which is why he is normal-eyed in the pictures (I'll be hopefully getting some shots of him in this costume this weekend though - contacts, lightsaber and all since the weather outside is finally awesome <3)

After the shoot with Christa, we headed back to the room and got some shots outside on the fun walkways out near the room with Caedus, Ben and TK. I also got a chance to finally add the chain and tooth to the jacket arm, which is why it's in these pictures and not the ones that were from the photoshoot. I had been meaning to add that thing since Balticon and I never got around to it and thought I'LL DO IT WHEN I'M THERE... which, never think that before Dragon*Con, lololol. Because you will most likely get super distracted. XD

After this we figured it was DINNER TIIIIIME and we all (Valerie, Brian, me, Nate, Sara, Ashley and Saki) met up at High Velocity in the Marriott. Nate and I had changed into our Pushing Daisies costumes -- dinner time Sunday night was the only time we had a chance to wear them (we'll be bringing them to other cons in the future though, we love them too much XD) -- so I plopped that pie box down on the table and ordered a drink. An Electric Lemonade.

I don't drink much at all. Occasionally I'll have a Mike's or something (and it's always the black cherry ones now, those are amazing) but those don't do anything to me. This thing though, holy crap. I guess if I got super drunk I would be highly loud and obnoxious because this thing made me talk and talk and get louder and I'm not used to that, lol. XDDDD It sure as shit was amusing for Valerie and Nate though. Especially Valerie who was like, "Hey Heather, you should drink more. Go on, keep drinking. Drink up." SHE IS AN ENABLER.

Come to find out Erin, Ronnie, and the gang were also at High Velocity. They stopped by our table when they were done and Ronnie was like, "...YOU PRECIOUS THING." at my tipsy ways.

HOLY CRAP THESE IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA COSTUMES MADE ME SO GIDDY XD

After eating (and drinking), we all headed back to the magical 852 in the Hilton to watch some of the Masquerade. There was nothing too exciting in what we saw. There were some cute kids. Also some Avatar group where the person was really, really shaking their baby and we were all afraid for the baby.

Valerie and Brian went back to their room to watch more of the Magical Masquerade while the rest of us fought our way through the crowds to the Hyatt (it took awhile :|) for the STAR WARS ADULT THEMES PANEL. I gave Mace to

prix_etoile so he could be a panelist with her and Ashley, Sara, Nate and I headed to the back where there were actually empty seats, haha. XD

I think my favorite question of the panel was the guy who asked, "If you're a Jedi and you're masturbating, do all the other Jedi feel that through the Force?" That was priceless.

I was sad at the lack of EU stuff (there was some, since Allston was there!), but every other person asking, "HUR HUR DID THE REBELS BANG/GET BLOWN BY THE EWOKS WHEN THEY WERE ON ENDOR?" got old. Were you here five minutes ago, bro? Someone already asked that. They answered it, MOVE ON. The raffle prizes were hilarious though. <3

Sadly, we couldn't stay and chill with everyone (which sucked since that was the only time I saw some people that I <3) cause we had to go get in line for CELLLLLDWELLLLLLLEERRRRRR. Ashley had headed back to the room cause she felt kind of crappy and Nate, Sara and I wandered around for a bit wondering where this magical line was.

We finally found out it was outside of the Hyatt and was a joint line for everyone waiting for the Cruxshadows, since they were playing right after Celldweller.

Now let me just say, I've loved me some Celldweller since around 2003. I was at an anime convention and my sister and I were planted in a room watching Anime Music Videos and this one had this amazing song called "Under My Feet" -- I wrote down who it was by and when I went home and looked him up and his other music I WAS IN LOVE. And I have been ever since then.

Fast forward to 2009, my first date with Mr. Nathan. We were sitting there talking about hobbies and music and crap and Celldweller gets mentioned. "YOU KNOW WHO CELLDWELLER IS? WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"

So imagine me sitting at the computer and checking the Dragon*Con website and seeing Celldweller on there one day. He doesn't really tour ever, either, since he plays all the instruments and all that jazz. I texted Nate and we both freaked out and crossed our fingers that nothing would happen and he would have to cancel. This was going to be the highlight of our Dragon*Con. AND IT WAS.

We get in line, and we're outside on the corner by a crosswalk. Everyone who walks by is like, "WHAT'S THIS LINE FOR????" Everyone around us kept saying OMG THE CRUXSHADOWS!!!11 Since they were just going to rush the stage and stand boredly during Celldweller so they could have a good spot to see OMG THE CRUXSHADOWS!!!11 Whenever anyone asked us we would say Celldweller. Whenever anyone specifically asked Sara she would either shrug and look at them curiously or say, "Badges!" It was awesome. <3

We finally started to file in and got to the room. We were going to sit in the chairs, but the more we looked at the stage the more we were like OMG LET'S GO. So we rushed up there and we were about five rows back. djlkfjaksjdfkasfjd I gave Nate the camera so he could take pictures over people's heads (since he is a giant) and here is one he took of the stage.

Nate and I were also super excited because Bret/Blue Stahli was helping and was going to be on stage playing guitar. :D We also love Blue Stahli and cannot wait for his album which he has released a few songs from. IT WAS LIKE DOUBLE AMAZING IN ONE SHOW. XDDDDDDD

Now Sara had only heard the song I had put on the D*C fanmix, so she was curious on how his other stuff was. Nate and I were totally worried she would hate it and be like, "YOU GUYS ARE LOSERS LOL"~ Right before Klayton came on stage, she was like, "Is he hot?" I said yes and then we asked Nate if Klayton was hot. He said yes too, with a vigorous nod. He denies he did this and acted confused the next day when we relayed it to him, but he did. He has a mancrush on Klayton and if I was a man I would too. I mean, even now, not being a man, I have a mancrush on him. He is awesome and his music is awesome.

SO KLAYTON COMES ON STAGE, Nate and I flip out and he starts playing "The Last Firstborn" and everyone (well, all the Celldweller fans -- a lot of the people who came strictly for Cruxshadows and stole spots in the front were mostly like buhhhh who is thissss) went apeshit. Then Bret came out and everyone went apeshit again. It was awesome because they basically remixed a bunch of songs so it was all stuff we were familiar with, it was just ALL NEW AND CRAZY.

The only bad part was the dude with the BO in front of me and the other one beside him who kept jumping backwards into my personal space. I was in my converse sneakers, I feel like I should've worn my yellow Chuck heels or something. :P Then I would've been out of armpit vicinity and had a better view of THE STAAAAAAGE.

The three of us went back to the room after that and found Ashley in bed. We all chatted for a bit and pretty much passed the hell out. XD

Next will be Monday/Tuesday! Which will include the Tenel Ka/Caedus/Tahiri/Ben crack, AW YEAH. hurhurrrrrr
