So I think I have picked my favorite song of 2008. I loved Metro Station's "Wish We Were Older" (as you can see here), silly and crackheaded but totally addictive Lady Gaga forced me to dance with "Just Dance", Sam Sparro fucking rocked it with "Black and Gold", The Music totally killed it when "The Spike" came out -- but this song is like everything I want in a song.

It has fused enough rock with enough danceability and enough DRAMU-FILLED lyrics to make me love it with all my heart. I love the riffs, I love the way the vocals go from dirty to clean to creepy ("WE CAN'T GO BACK, WE CAN'T GOOOO~" ...i always have to sing along), I absolutely love the angsty-wangst.

And all the sounds and stuff-- IT'S LIKE CYBERPUNK TURNED INTO A SONG. <3
