http://rateyourdoc.org/rateyourdoc/docindex.php -- Heeehehehe! How cute! :D
So I took a long lunch on Friday -- one, cause it was Friday and two, there was really no one at the office. I went to the bookstore and wandered around. Ten minutes after I got in there, I found myself sitting in one of the crazy oversized chairs reading Twilight cause everyone everywhere has been making such a BIG AWESOME DEAL about it and I wanted to see what all the hype was about. But the hype. I don't get it. Now granted, I didn't finish the book, obviously, but what I did get through (a few bits near the start and then some other parts as I skipped around) made me feel like I was reading a big self-insert Mary Sue fanfiction with HOT HOT EVERY OTHER PAGE HOT vampires. I know like all of you on my FL love these books (sans Ashley, LOL ON PHONE CALLS FROM MCDONALDS) and I see fanmixes for it at least twice a day on the fanmix community, and I'm not trying be a ho-skank or bash them or anything, but I really don't understand the hype behind them. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE SHARE IT WITH ME AND SHED SOME LIGHT PLZ? ANYONE? BUELLER? D:
Anyways, vampires. You know what I miss? Vampire: the Masquerade. I miss that shit so hard it's not even funny.
I am totally having flashbacks to eighth grade when a bunch of us "played" and we wore our pins to school and nerded out all the time. Eighth grade. WTF. I was a Toreador, then I got sick of those tools and was a Tzimisce. Also, besides us in our awesome Miss Hedges Honors English class (complete with Lasombra, Gangrels and Ravnos, oh my!) we had the SHADOWLORDS(!!111) in our grade as well, which was made up of like six dudes who pretty much paralleled us (different clans though) except they were way more into it -- and creepy. And gave us a note that I really wish I had right now that was like, "OMG YOU GUYS AND YOUR COTERIE BETTER ALIGN WITH US OR WE WILL MAKE YOU GO CRAZY AND KILL YOU THE WYRMMMMmmm YAYAYAYYyya!~"
We were all, "LOL, whatever. Bring it."
This is how we passed the time in middle school. And then my stepbrother played too -- he had an Assamite. THOSE WERE THE DAYS. So I'm kind of bitter that they did away with Masquerade and brought on Requiem. It just doesn't seem as entertaining.
But yeah, Tzimisce was where it was at. And you know why I loved them so much:
The Tzimisce are known for their body altering technique, called Vicissitude or, less formally, "fleshcrafting". Tzimisce can supernaturally alter the bodies of living and undead organisms, even to the point of melting them. For this clan, body alteration is an art and a philosophy. In the modern ages, most Tzimisce are simultaneously radical transhumanists, posthumanists, and prescriptive social Darwinists. Sooner or later, many Tzimisce become totally lost in this detatched and inhuman way of thinking, often losing all contact with the concepts of mercy, compassion, or moral or ethical value as understood by the human mind.
I was so enamored with this in eighth grade (a DECADE AGO D:). I still am, now that I read it.
Plus, they have one of the coolest clan symbols. See icon. And it is amazing unlike the Tremere symbol (omg SHAPEZ!11). SORRY TREMERE, YOU HOBOTS. LOL Tzimisce and Tremere are like rival high schools.
And I need to watch The Lost Boys again.
(HOW EFFING COOL IS THIS? O_O
"Following a partnership between Rockstar Games and Amazon.com, players will be able to purchase real world MP3s through GTA IV's in-game mobile phone. If the player hears a song they like on the radio, they will be able to 'mark' the song by dialing ZIT-555-0100 on Niko's phone. They will then receive a text message providing the name of the song and the artist."
I am gonna get LOST in this freakin' game!)
NEW B-52'S CD = <3. :O
