So this weekend, on Saturday night, is my job's annual Winter Formal Dinner/Dance thing. I never dance, but the food is always good and it's funny to watch co-workers (or co-worker's spouses/significant others) drink too much and dance crazy/horribly/spastically. It's never anyone from my division cause we are too cool for that.

I met my mom at the mall last night and I found a new dress for it -- I have been wearing the same dress to this thing for three years in a row now, LOL. I figured it was time for a new one. So I got this one, which was even more on sale in the store than it is on the website. I am absolutely in love with it. My mom pulled it out from where it was hiding in the middle of a bunch of fuggo dresses on a random rack and goes "HEATHER, HERE, THIS IS ALL 40'S LOOKING. YOU WILL LIKE THIS." And my eyes lit up and the choir started singing and a light was shining down on where she was holding it.

So I got it. And a necklace. Now I have a different dress to wear to the formal. And then I will come home after I eat and say hi to everyone I know -- way before it ends. I will then change into my pjs and most likely play Left 4 Dead/Fallout 3/Persona 4.

What can I say? I'm not a social butterfly. :|

Hehehe, random nerd tidbit of the day. You know how much I love Lisey's Story, yes? I have a yellow afghan blanket on my bed thanks to that book. I found one on ebay a few months ago for around $15. It's yellow and warm and gigantic and it was shipped from Maine. <3

I'm not a big dress person, but that looks really nice! :3 I hope you have fun wearing it. <3

Oh, Lisey's Story. :C One book I haven't read yet. APPARENTLY IT'S GOOD, I'll ahve to look into picking it up...

I am so happy that one was found, cause I'm really not a dress person either, LOL~

And yessss! LS is a very, very good book! It'll seem odd most likely, at first, but then once you get into it all it's really a great read. King did a great job with the relationship between Scott and Lisey. :D

I love the dress!

Ahahahaha you made me laugh, thank you. I needed that. This totally sounds like something out of a movie and I would pay to see that. I also love how your division's too cool for that. (Actually, this sounds like something from The Office, or something. Ha.)

It reminds me of something from The Office, lol! Every year something (or multiple things) happen and I'm just like WHY DO I FEEL LIKE WE SHOULD BE ON THE OFFICE? XD

I love that dress! I'm a sucker for the 40s style stuff. I hate those modern things now that have the bubble skirts or whatever.

Also LOL your coworkers. That's the best part of office parties, if you ask me.

That's right! I forgot you told me about the afghan. That is all kinds of win.

HOLY CRAP THE BUBBLE SKIRTS ARE HORRENDOUS~ I REALLY HATE THOSE WITH A PASSION. D:

And yes, the coworkers are always the most amusing. XDDDDDD Especially the ones who try to deny anything that happened on Monday. LOL~

AFGHAN IS COMING TO MAINE. :D

Oooo....PRETTY dress ~ I adore 40s style too! Maybe less of a plunging neckline for me but otherwise yummy.

(Also, Judge Judy is PERFECT. We have the show aired here in Britain as well, she is one beautiful hard/strong woman. *g*)

Thank you! And yessss, I love that style so much. Part of me wanted to live then just for the style and fashion and the feel of the era. :D

Judge Judy! I love how she doesn't take any crap from anyone.

And the hats! Oh the hats from the 1920s to the 40s, and even 50s/60s. So goregous.

I LOVE how Judge Judy doesn't take crap from anyone. We need more people like her. :)

YES, BUT I AM NOT A WHINY, TALKBACKY WENCH LIKE SHE IS. XD Also, I don't wear stupid things in my hair or like clothes with horribly fuggo prints on them that I painted myself.

Man, she is seriously in like the TOP ONE PROJECT RUNWAY CONTESTANTS I HATE THE MOST LIST. LOLOLOL~

AND THANK YOU~ :D
