So remember I said we brought Dragon*Con to

lusa_thul a couple weekends ago since she can't make it this year? Which, you know, actually meant LET'S GEEK AROUND IN STAR WARS COSTUMES AND TALK ABOUT THE CRUXSHADOWS? WELL I HAS PHOTOS NOW, hur hur.

For the YJK outfit, I made a whole new bolero and pair of shorts the night before we went over to Emily's (which is why the ones in these pictures look different than the ones in these pictures - and I'm not sure which colors/set I like better -- the greenish brown or the new reddish ones...) so there's a lot of things I'm gonna fix with them. I've already hemmed the shorts a bit shorter and I'll be attaching the bottom and top layers of the boleros together at some point soon.

BUT THERE WAS MUCH FUN TO BE HAD OUT IN THE HEAT. XD

So first thing was Emily putting on her quick 2 second Jaina outfit, which actually turned out pretty awesome (and had an official plastic belt that said STAR WARS with it, YESSSSSS) and of course I had to steal lots of pictures of the SOLO TWINS CAUSE YOU KNOW HOW I FEEL THERE.

They would kill you if they managed to turn their lightsabers on! I always loved Emily's lightsaber -- she made it out of like... a garden hose nozzle and it looks amazing. <333333

Han and Leia need to do something about all this emo.

This stick was one we found and it was very thin and weak so I could probably poke someone's eye out with it at least. IT DID ITS JOB, THANK YOU STICK. Also, Emily did my hair and I loved it.

Then Danni Quee showed up. Actually we changed. And I put on a TK dress I haven't worn since 2005 and Emily changed into her awesome DQ (Dairy Queen? O_O!) outfit. I called her a HOMEWRECKER, naturally, and then we all geeked out some more.

THEY FOUND A BIRD. A FAKE ONE.

BOOMSTICK. Blasters are just sometimes so much more fun to hold than lightsabers.

Danni is yelling at other scientists for being FAILURES. Do you like the $1 light-up COMLINK we found at the dollar store? MUAHAH~ XD

And here is a shot of me in my magical gray jumpsuit with the cape thing I made but never got to wear cause the Queen Mother dress I was making to go with it pissed me off and I pitched it. I realized the little cape thing would go awesome with this jumpsuit though! XD

WOOOOOO! Alright, that was exciting. We figure we might take some better shots later in the year when it gets nice again (and I have my YJK outfit fixed and fit to climb trees and roll around in the dirt while wearing, muahaha). We were out in the 90+ degree weather and I got some asinine amount of bug bites (it was 15 or something) but Nate and Emily WERE CLEAR OF ALL BUG NOMS. :(

(P.S. Nate and I went back to that park and explored some more. THERE'S FLIPPING FOUNTAINS DOWN BY THE POND AREA WHICH I DIDN'T EVEN KNOWN EXISTED. I FREAKED OUT WHEN I SAW THEM. WE MUST GO IN THE FALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL~)
