Have I mentioned how much I love getting back into old fandoms? gipgipgip. XD
I also forgot to mention awhile back that I was driving back to work from lunch one day and I saw a plate on a car: R SHINRA
Very squee worthy. Muah!
Alright, catching up on the comments and janks tomorrow. My eyelids are like SCREW YOU BITCH, IT'S SLEEP TIME.
EDIT: To all like... two of you on my friendlist who are Myst fanzzzzz -- we know Sirrus and Achenar were screwed in the head royal, but how far do you think they'd go when it came to murder and things of the like. I have ideas in my head for fanthings. But I'm wondering how far to take them. Heeeehehehe. XD

adorablydictatorish in quite a few of the Myst ages. We know at least some of the ages they were in now appear to be uninhabited. We know Achenar had some... interesting toys in his rooms, and I'm sure the rotting head-in-a-box in Mechanical Age didn't walk there all by itself. We know Sirrus had plenty of toys of his own, many of which did not originally belong to him.So, as far as I can tell there's quite the huge spectrum of possible evil that they could have done, ranging from relatively mild to OMGHitler. I've always seen Achenar as a bit of sadist, but I also think he was smart enough to reserve most of the torture and killing for people he wanted to make an example of, in order to keep the power thing intact for him and Sirrus.
Sirrus I think would be more likely to see killing as an occasionally neccesary, yet distasteful chore, and he probably prefered to let Achenar do most of their actual dirty work. To me he seems to be interested in the things that people could provide him, rather than much of anything about the people themselves, so it might have been in his best interests to keep subjects alive for the most part.
Hee hee!!! I've had fanthings running all around in my head too, lately. Now I want to write the boys all ickle and precious and future-evil-ish. Because they must have been the cutest little things ever.

XD And also, I totally agree with the sentiment that Sirrus would leave a lot of the dirty work up to Achenar -- but would stand around and make sure it all went according to his plan. The Revelation site -- Achenar's bio, it says he's smart, but he's too emotional. And that seems like something Sirrus would take advantage of. XD
FANTHINGS. THEY MUST BE DONE! WE MUST DO. Muahaha!

Date: 2007-02-06 01:52 pm (UTC)I like to think the boys started out with their own set of scruples that gradually disintegrated over time as they become increasingly corrupted and... er, NUTS. And Sirrus would definitely make sure Achenar carried out all the special violence just the way he wanted, and I can just imagine him being all lofty about it afterwards, because of course he was so above such openly barbaric displays. :-DD
Sirrus I think learned to bottle up his emotions fairly early in life, because he would undoubtedly see letting them run all over the place (a la Achenar) as a weakness. Above almost everything else he seems to value remaining in control, and someone with his temperment probably wouldn't get very far without some mechanism for keeping it all locked up. Achenar on the other hand lets all his passions rule him entirely. He's very smart, but probably easily distracted and derailed.
